1.  Most stains and ballpoint pen marks can be easily wiped out with a clean dry towel.  No need to use complicated cleaning measures.

2.  Spot clean with mild soap and water

3.  Rubbing alcohol can be used to clean remaining stain.  Rinse cleaned area with water and air dry.
